Annual Luncheon10 November 2006 - Luncheon at the Burlington Hotel The ninth annual luncheon took place at the Burlington Hotel on Friday 10 November 2006. Aldo Zilli - the loveable flamboyant restaurateur and celebrity chef was our guest speaker. This year we extended the drinks reception, giving attendees the chance to taste our specially created canapés whilst browsing through the market stalls. What better way to meet new business contacts and enjoy the best of Birmingham's food offerings!
More photos from the annual luncheon Cocktail Party6 July 2006 - Cocktail Party at Hotel Du Vin On 6 July the cellar bar of Hotel Du Vin was packed with guests at our cocktail party sponsored by HBJ Gateley Wareing and Kroll. The mystery canapé was designed by Nick Turner, Hotel Du vin's head chef (ex L'Escargot and Criterion), and was a goats cheese and butternut squash medley wrapped in puff pastry sitting on a pastry cradle. It beat most of the guests, save a select few with good taste buds who worked it out! The inspired mystery cocktail was created by Bar Manager Julien Foussadier, and was a cheeky little vodka tipple with apple juice, cinnamon and a dash of lemon juice. It beat almost the entire audience of seasoned tasters, much to their surprise, but it was an overwhelming success.
