NCH – Every Child Matters Appeal

  • New West Midlands Appeal called  'Every Child Matters'
  • Launched April 2006 at the Radisson SAS hotel Birmingham
  • Aim of the appeal is to raise vital funds and much needed awareness for the 46 NCH projects in the West Midlands
  • Aim is to ensure that every child matters in the West Midlands by raising awareness of the issues facing vulnerable and underprivileged children and young people.
  • We aim to raise £300,000 in two years to enable us to fund the 46 centres in the West Midlands
  • The appeal will highlight issues such as poverty, disability and abuse faced by thousands of young people in the region.
  • The appeal is themed on the governments five key outcomes for children:
    1. Be Healthy
    2. Stay Safe
    3. Enjoy and Achieve
    4. Make a positive contribution
    5. Achieve economic well-being
  • There are over 40 NCH projects in the West Midlands, helping over 20,000 children, young people and their families.
  • The number of vulnerable and disadvantaged children using the NCH services in the West Midlands has risen by 350% in the last five years.
  • NCH want to raise £300,000 to run its network of 46 local centres that are making a real difference to the lives of over 20,000 children, young people and their families.
